I need a big favor ~ the company I work for, Animation Collective, has 2 shows that are being courted by 2 large networks, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. One of our shows, Ellen's Acres, is aimed at preschoolers and recently aired on Cartoon Network on a trial run. CN has taken it off for now until they can figure out their spring lineup, but we need to show them that there is a ton of support for Ellen's to get it back on sooner. Kappa Mikey is off Nickelodeon "indefinitely" but still airs on Nicktoons and Nickelodeon internationally. Both shows get really great ratings so we're trying to rally up enough people to send emails to Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network to show them that there's a demand for these shows. Today I will bug you about Ellen's Acres on Cartoon Network. If you have kids, know lots of kids, or are creepy and like to watch preschool shows like me, PLEASE check out the links below and spread the word about Ellen's. Ellen's Acres is actually a really cute show, and I've seen a lot of my co-workers bleed, cry, and sacrifice their social lives to work on it. And a social life is a very precious thing. Here's the official skinny:
Ellen's Acres is a great new preschool show my company produced. Cartoon Network did a test run of the series this January, and it did well. They are considering putting it on the air every weekday morning permanently if there is enough positive feedback
about it. I'd love your help in making that happen!
Ellen's Acres is like "Eloise at the Plaza" set in a motel. 5-year-old
Ellen lives in a hotel that her parents own outside of Tonapah, Nevada.
Since there aren't a lot of kids her age around to play with, Ellen
makes up all kinds of imaginary adventures with the help of her feather
duster and radial tire, which turn into different, magical objects. The
show features the first young, "hipster" parents to appear in a
children's animated series. Ellen's dad is a former professional
skateboarder and her mom is a lawyer and his manager. The show is a
celebration of play and creativity. Ellen does a great job role
modeling creativity for kids.
